First of all I have to say GREAT products and my next purchase might be a aluminum block...I have the World Merlin III aluminum heads right now and they work great with my Kinsler Mechanical Fuel Injection ( Old School ) I built this car 5 years ago with the help of professional fabricators The Chassis Shop did the 25-1 Chromoly chassis cert for 6.0 and mounted the fiberglass body from Bears Fiberglass Proffesional Collision did the Satin Black paint. Entec Racing Services Don did the 540 ci all motor big chevy and tuning of our 1.15 sixty foot shorts 3.64 G launches.. I can imagine another 150 lbs off the front wheels with a World aluminum block to be better.. We added new true flames in blue for this year and have plans for a World 632 ci for next year.. cheers Mike Gentile

The 427" is a "crate engine" from Bill Mitchell. It is an WORLD Products aluminum block and WORLD Products cylinder heads. All of the engine internals are aftermarket. It features a solid lifter camshaft, aluminum rocker arms, "H" beam connecting rods & aluminum intake manifold. The induction is from Wilson manifolds and features one of their billet spacers & throttle bodies and fuel rails. Ignition is from MSD and the ECU for the fuel injection is from F.A.S.T. The entire engine ready to run weighs in at 350 lbs (which is extremely light for a Chevy SBC!) On the dyno, the engine made 538 horsepower and 522 Ft. Lbs. of torque on 92 octane fuel. A T-56 six-speed out of a Viper and modified by Rockland Standard Gear handles putting the power down. Best in Show at the 4th Annual Grand Turismo Awards ceremony at the 2006 Las Vegas show. As part of this achievement the Corvette would be forever immortalized in digital form in Gran Turismo. I built this car over 10+ years from a $50 shell! I began with a grout filled Chevy 010 block, splayed caps etc,etc. Once the Aussie dollar regained some ground, i lashed out and bought a World "Motown" block. The overall finish was excellent, and needed very little machine work to bring it up to scratch. I also use Sportsman Iron heads with a LOT of port and bowl work! They are 200cc runner version and flow 305 cfm @ 600 lift!! The engine uses a 14-71 Hi Helix-Retro Blower that will make easily 40 LBS of boost at most any time!
